<p class="font_7 wixui-rich-text__text"><span class="wixui-rich-text__text">As a lifelong drummer, JD Sagurton always struggled to find cymbals with the vibe, feel and sounds that he desired. His first cymbal modification was a very crude hammer job on one of his horrible sounding B8 rides, where he literally used a regular hammer and the sidewalk as his anvil! Of course, the result wasn&rsquo;t great, but it was enough of an improvement to pique his curiosity, and he started to modify any cymbals he could get his hands on.</span></p>
<p class="font_7 wixui-rich-text__text"><span class="wixui-rich-text__text">After a few years tinkering with sketchy, experimental tool setups, (</span><span class="wixui-rich-text__text">built his first anvil out of an old dumbbell), JD Sagurton finally designed and built a proper cymbal lathe, and furthered his Journey as a self-taught cymbal smith. </span><span class="wixui-rich-text__text">Soon, his passion for creating unique cymbals led him to seek mentorship from renowned experts in the field. He was</span><span class="wixui-rich-text__text">&nbsp;fortunate to have had the opportunity to train under the established master cymbal smiths, Nick Margarite (Nicky Moon), and Dave Collingwood.&nbsp;</span></p>
